Breaking: Ghana’s Film Authority Issues Stern Piracy Warning To Media Houses – Full Statement Inside

Ghana’s National Film Authority (NFA) has dropped a bombshell, issuing a strong warning to television stations illegally broadcasting films, series, and other creative works without permission, calling it a blatant theft of intellectual property that could CRUSH the country’s booming creative industry!

 

NFA’s FIERCE Stand Against Piracy
In a hard-hitting statement, the NFA slammed TV stations for ripping off content creators, warning that this illegal act violates copyright laws and kills creativity.

“This is theft, plain and simple!” declared Kafui Danku Pitcher, Executive Secretary of the NFA. “Unauthorized broadcasts rob creators of their hard-earned income and scare away investors. Ghana’s creative future is at stake!”

 

Nollywood Stars EXPOSE Ghanaian TV Stations
The crackdown comes after Nigerian superstar Omoni Oboli blew the whistle on a Ghanaian TV station that stole her new movie, Twin Deception, just HOURS after its official YouTube release, without her consent!

“This is SHAMEFUL!” Omoni raged on Instagram. “You’re not ‘promoting’ my film—you’re STEALING from me for your own profit!”

She’s not alone, Bimbo Ademoye (another Nollywood A-lister) and Ghana’s own Juliet Ibrahim have also called out TV stations for airing their movies illegally, demanding URGENT ACTION.
